Reed bed waste water treatment system for family and small business
The challenge
The rural wooded mid Devon site was planned to accommodate a residential and home business dwelling. A particular requirement of the site was that a reed bed treatment system should be installed to tackle the waste water produced by the development.
What we did
Westley Design produced a masterplan for the site and detailed design for both planting and reed bed filtration system, together with a richly planted garden for the family and business clients to enjoy.
The result
The reed bed system satisfied Environment Agency performance standard requirements and the garden provides a successful social and family amenity.
