The challenge
The in-filled quay in the centre of Truro had been a depressing car park space created following the infilling of the tidal basin in heart of Truro for many years. The Town, District and County Councils had the vision of creating a major civic space at the heart of Cornwall’s County town.
What we did
Mike Westley worked in an inclusive design consultant role with Mor Design on public space and furnishing design, from concept design to implementation changing the existing car park into a quality open space.
The result
This important space has become the most vital open air social, cultural and commercial venue in Truro.
