The challenge
The site is a tight courtyard with a level change in an urban Conservation Area. The client has three teenage children. The client required a socialising ‘outdoor set of secret magical rooms’ for entertaining and as ‘chill-out’ space.
What we did
We designed the garden down to a fine level of detail and worked with local craftsmen to manage the implementation.
The result
The gardens have a secret garden feel, giving a greater sense of movement and space that the tight rectilinear space indicated would be possible.
