Biscovey Garden
Family garden design
The challenge
The client wanted to create a series of small secret gardens in a modern housing development that had a feeling of lush tropical planting typical of its Cornish setting. In particular the client wanted a space to practice Tai-chi and meditation.
What we did
We evolved and implemented the garden incrementally with the as the client family’s resources allowed. Where possible we used recycled or locally vernacular materials. We designed and implemented the pebble mosaic, paths and garden decks.
The result
The garden provided a haven for the client until they moved on and remains an inspiration for them in their new home where their new garden seeks to recapture some of the spirit of the Biscovey garden for the Westley family to enjoy.
